Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Does WaterQuick Pro heat the water?
No, WaterQuick Pro does not heat water, it delivers it - fast!
- Does the WaterQuick Pro work with tankless water heaters?
Yes, WaterQuick Pro is activated by the same method as a tankless water
heater. That is, when water begins to flow the water heater comes on. The
same is true for the WaterQuick Pro system. When water begins to flow the
pump is turned on until water stops flowing.
- What effect will this have on city water flow?
No effect. WaterQuick Pro draws hot water from the water heater
into the hot line, while pushing the cold water in the cold line back to the
water heater. Water from the utility cannot enter a closed system unless a
fixture is open. The water will move to the point of least resistance, which
is back to the water heater.
- Do I need to have an electric outlet installed for the WaterQuick Pro
System?
No new electrical outlet is needed in a typical installation. Since
WaterQuick Pro is installed on or near the water heater there is almost
always an available outlet nearby.
- How much will the WaterQuick Pro increase my electrical bill?
Less than $2 per year depending on the cost of electricity in your
area.
- How long does it take to install the WaterQuick Pro?
A typical installation can be completed in under 2 hours. If access in
the area where the system will be installed is limited additional time may be
required.
- How is the pump activated?
The pump is activated by turning on any hot water faucet in the house or
starting an appliance such as a dishwasher or washing machine that needs hot
water.
- How long will I have to wait for hot water with the WaterQuick
Pro?
The wait for hot water can be affected by several factors such as
distance, pipe size, number of joints in the pipes, etc. Homes with
WaterQuick Pro typically get hot water in 10 seconds or less.
