Frequently Asked Questions |
1. I am building a new home and have access to all of my water pipes. Which is better - a dedicated return line or a dead-end plumbing line?
A dedicated return line is about 10% better if it is properly installed..
2. What size line should I use for the return line?
Always use a 3/4" line if you can. A 3/4" line has double the capacity of a 1/2" line which means you will be able to move more water quickly through the larger line.
3. Will this system work with a 1/2" line.
Yes. But it will not be as efficient as a 3/4" line.
4. If I do not have a dedicated return line do I need to install one?
No. Our WaterQuick Tankless was designed for homes without a dedicated return line.
5. I have a long lateral off of my dedicated return line. Will this system work with my plumbing configuration?
Yes. We call it a h"hybrid" system. A dedicated recirc system combined with one or more Advanced Bridge Valves will do the trick.
6. I have an existing pump. Can I convert it to a Faucet Activated Smart Technology (On-Demand) system?
Yes. Our Pump Manager can control virtually any pump. However if your pump is a slower pump it may take an excessive amount of time to get hot water. Call us with your pump make and model number and we let you know if it will work with our system.
